This year’s Gala will include a one-on-one chat with New York Times bestselling author and acclaimed attorney
His fourteen novels, including Presumed Innocent and Presumed Guilty, have captivated readers worldwide. His next novel, Presumed Dead, is set for release in January 2027.

Celebrate Award Winning Community Members
Meet Literacy Chicago student Deshon Johnson and volunteer Michelle Gill, recipients of the Illinois Secretary of State Student Achievement and Volunteer Service Awards. Chosen as two of only ten student and volunteer honorees statewide each year, they will share powerful stories of perseverance, learning, and success that are sure to inspire.
Silent Auction and Raffle
Support Literacy Chicago and win fun prizes by purchasing raffle tickets and bidding on silent auction packages. Items this year include but are not limited to: flight vouchers from Southwest Airlines, a studio portrait session with award winning photographer Kathleen Weinstein (kathleenweinsteinphotography.com) worth $1,000, and tickets to the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
